Vice President to attend Andhra University Alumini Meet

Visakhapatnam : Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will inagurate the Andhra University Alumini Meet. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that "The event starts with AAA 3K walkathon at 6 am on December 9 from Kali Matha temple to YMCA at the RK Beach, Visakhapatnam. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, who is former student of Andhra University, will flag off the walkathon. He will inaugurate the Andhra University Convention Centre on beach front".
Andhra University Alumni Association (AAA) created a database of 81,000 old students with full details for grand alumni meet which is scheduled for December 9 in the city.
He said the Andhra University departments have been working to create one lakh alumni students’ database for the event. On the occasion, Siemens, Centre for Excellence in Andhra University College of Engineering (A) and GMR Smart Seminar Complex in Science and Technology Bhavan will be inaugurated. The main programme will be held at AU Convention Centre at 5 pm.
Some of the illustrious alumni of Andhra University will be felicitated on the occasion. Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G Nageshwar Rao, GMR Group founder and AAA President Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, Andhra University Registrar V Uma Maheshwar Rao and others were present.
