It is unfortunate that the Kapu leader is levelling allegations against Jagan, he says

Wondering why senior Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham took a U-turn on the reservation issue, senior YSR Congress Party leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu on Sunday sought to know why the Kapu leader had started supporting the Telugu Desam Party all of a sudden.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Tuni, Mr. Venkateswarlu recalled that more than one lakh people had responded to the call given by Mr. Padmanabham and turned up at the ‘Kapu Aikya Garjana’ public meeting. Irrespective of party lines, the Kapus had extended support to Mr. Padmanabham.

Unilateral decision’

“He took a unilateral decision of staging the agitation and did not condemn the allegations that hired hooligans from Kadapa had torched the train,” he said.

Mr. Venkateswarlu asked why Mr. Padmanabham had kept quiet when Kapus from all the 13 districts were arrested following the Tuni agitation. “It is unfortunate that Mr. Padmanabham is levelling allegations against Mr. Jagan,” he said, advising Mr. Padmanabham to go on self-check.
